A TOUR GUIDE FOR SEEKERS ...

THE USUAL PROBLEMS,

UNCOMMON SOLUTIONS
Far beyond a future Earth succumbing to tribalism, terrorism, and technocide, a race of machines is turning the universe into armament. One spiritual species stands alone against this organic cleansing, and humankind will be protected - if we can first survive ourselves. Turen, knowing humanity is doomed, defies the laws of his Community to bring a Gift; the proven path to salvation. He attempts to elude the Sentinels of his species, but is badly injured in a crash landing.

Paul Dumont, suicidal after the death of his wife and the loss of his business, gives himself one week to pull his life back together. Searching for hope at a remote retreat, a pristine oasis in a warming world, he finds more than he bargained for - a rogue alien missionary.

Finding the ancient sage, Paul attempts rescue. Dying, Turen realizes that his only hope to salvage humanity is to save Paul. As human and alien forces close in, with the aid of his mercurial robe, Turen tries to heal Paul and transform him into the inspired apostle who will rescue humanity.
While the story stands on its own as exciting fiction, Path to Destiny is the second novel in the PROPHETURE trilogy. In the first, Journey from Stardust, Turen, in a Close Encounter of the Fourth Kind, decides he must sacrifice his all to save humanity. The trilogy culminates with in the climatic encounter with Turen's race and confrontation of the Ultimate Threat.

Reminiscent of Stranger in a Strange Land, Turen is a spiritual tour guide who draws from the lessons of the Nine Threats to Sentience, the Six Questions of God, and the Three Awakenings of Being to teach the One Path to Destiny.
